We are honored to be partnering with Pastor Sonnel Kamara, a godly man who spent the greater part of his life overseeing 40 churches in Sierra Leone. God has given this barren man a father’s heart for his nation.

The Lulu Tree is helping Pastor Sonnel to fulfill the calling God has put on his life, both by equipping men and women in villages surrounding the home, helping them to care for their own kids (learn more about how he’s training them in farming HERE) and, when needed, taking in kids with no parents and caring for them personally.

By the grace of God, Pastor Sonnel and his wife Mommy Christiana have built a 9-bedroom home in one of the most beautiful parts of Sierra Leone, which they are using to house the most vulnerable–orphaned children and abandoned and abused women.

In September of 2017, the home was completed and Sonnel began bringing in children who had neither mother, father, nor relative able to help them. His ultimate prayer is to bring hope to a nation wracked by war, disease and flooding through the love of his heavenly Father.
