At The Lulu Tree, we always see work to be done. We hear the dreams and goals of all our leaders and teams in Sierra Leone, Liberia, Uganda, and South Sudan, and our hearts grow with them as we watch the Lord provide.
Along with our prayer partners, we pray weekly, daily, hourly across our organization, across the nations, lifting up God’s will and way for sustainability. We pray for land, for livestock, for mamas and babies. We pray for pastors and churches, for families and villages.
With the Spirit leading, we put our hearts into our mission to prevent tomorrow’s orphans by equipping today’s families through the local church — rejoicing as they work together to develop healthy, sustainable villages rooted in the love of Christ. Day after day we hear new dreams and see endless provisions from the Lord, and then this photo arrives of Pastor Sonnel, our Sierra Leone Director, and we smile at his simple invitation:
“I am inviting you all to eat mangoes with me.”
And so we extend this invitation to you, to join us as we rejoice in provision and pray for our branches, for our partners, our pastors and our teams, and to take a moment to rest in the blessings around you.
“Six days you shall labor, but on the seventh day you shall rest; even during the plowing season and harvest you must rest.”
Exodus 34:21 NIV
He prepares a table before us. And today it is filled with mangoes.
