The Lulu Tree prevents tomorrow’s orphans by equipping today’s families through the local church — with resources like Bibles, benches, and projectors.
These pastors are handing out Bibles to very eager congregations in Sierra Leone. Often it’s only the pastor who has a copy of the Word, and even then it’s very tattered.
Bibles are a rare commodity in churches across Africa, as are benches. Many churches have neither — the congregation sitting on the floor — and many also lack musical equipment or any kind of projector, keeping them from showing any kind of Jesus film to villagers.
It is our desire to equip churches with these kinds of necessities. These simple items that are taken for granted in the West are treasured in Africa, where owning a Bible is a rare blessing–allowing Christians to read the Word of God and hold it in their hands.
Partnering in this area also helps equip crusades, allowing pastors to travel from village to village and preach the Gospel to those who have not heard the Good News. These crusades are a vital part of ministry in Africa and have resulted in entire villages coming to know the Lord.
Thank you for joining us in prayer for these faithful shepherds.
