Hi friends. This is Mommy Emily. How are you doing? How can we be praying for you? I pray spring has reached you. The thawing of snow and the song of the birds have lifted my spirits. Remember — this is incubation. God is pressing in, the Spirit is hovering, new life is rising. Wait for it. Be strong, take heart, and wait for the Lord. (Psalm 27:14)

Even as we’ve been waiting here at Lulu, we’ve been meeting over Zoom (as has most of the world) to encourage one another in the Word and Prayer. It’s been such a rich time of fellowship. Below are some snapshots that our Secretary Jeanne Damoff took of our first Zoom meeting with national directors from across Africa. I’ll also include her notes which she took, so you can glean from our time with our brothers.

We have also asked our brothers to record some videos sharing their heart for the world during this pandemic. Following are those videos. You’ll get to hear from Pastor Francis Irra in South Sudan, Apostle Enock Kasirye in Uganda, and Apostle Baptist Emochu in Uganda. (And finally, a short video of my kids, for those in the hospital who don’t know Christ.)

May you be blessed and encouraged dear ones. Stand strong. The Lord is at work in mysterious ways. Be faithful in the secret place. Intercede for our world. Trust that treasures will come from this darkness.

I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name. … I am the LORD, and there is no other. I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the LORD, do all these things. ~ Isaiah 45:3
